BJR recruits new blood for 2024 enduro season

Brad Jones Racing will welcome two fresh faced co-drivers into their fold for the Supercars endurance races in 2024.

2022 Super2 title winner Declan Fraser and 2020 Super3 Series winner Jaylyn Robotham are set to become part of the team for the Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000 later this year.

Fraser will pair with Andre Heimgartner in the #8 R&J Batteries Camaro while Robotham will don the Middy’s Electrical pink with Bryce Fullwood.

Jordan Boys is back for his third year of co-driver duties at BJR, joining Macauley Jones in the #96 Pizza Hut Racing Camaro.

The signings bring invigorating new talent to the team ahead of an already exciting year.

Fraser is fresh off his first full-time year in Supercars and the squad are eager to see what he can achieve beside Heimgartner.

The North Queenslander made a mark in his first Bathurst 1000 outing as a wildcard, finishing inside the top 10 beside Craig Lowndes.

The following year he jumped aboard a Tickford Racing Mustang for his debut season, with the team’s decision to downsize coming into 2024, Fraser came onto the driver market.

Robotham is a rising star to watch, setting the world of Hyundai Excel racing on fire before jumping into Toyota 86s.

He partnered Cameron Hill at Matt Stone Racing in 2023, gaining valuable seat time and experience in their endurance campaign.

The fourth BJR co-driver for the #12 SCT Logistics Camaro will be announced in due course.

Fraser, Robotham and Boys are getting some seat time today (February 7) at Winton Motor Raceway for the first test day of the season.

Team owner, Brad Jones Racing

“First of all - welcome to BJR Declan and Jay, we’re pretty excited to have them on board for Sandown and Bathurst.

“Getting them in the car today is also very important, making sure they’re comfortable and getting them settled in their working relationship with Bryce, Andre and their engineer nice and early.

“We’ll be able to have a very solid foundation heading into the enduro races later this year.

“Watching both Declan and Jay in action last year, they put in some impressive performances when they were behind the wheel.

“Keeping Jordan and Macca together is also natural, they’ve been friends since childhood and what they’ve been able to build over the last two years as driving partners is exactly what you’d look for. The way they’re able to push each other and work between sessions to get the best out of the car, it provides an exciting opportunity for them in 2024."
