BJR’s Super2 program energised by Bowser Bean Cafe

Brad Jones Racing’s double campaign in the Dunlop Super2 Series has ‘bean’ given an espresso hit, with Bowser Bean Cafe jumping aboard rookie Cody Gillis’ Commodore.

The liveries of Gillis and team-mate Elliott Cleary were revealed today just ahead of the season opening round at Bathurst.

Karting sensation, Gillis sports an energising look for his debut in Super2 with the cafe that’s a popular pit-stop on many road-trips.

Coca-Cola has also expanded its involvement with BJR, with branding across the #9 Super2 entry.

Gillis’ bonnet, rear wing and roof all feature the iconic branding of Coca-Cola, continuing the longstanding partnership with the team.

Meanwhile teenager Cleary's car is a vibrant red aligning with Sync Music, the design makes the Commodore a clear standout on the Super2 grid.

Both drivers are rookies to the Supercar category but are not strangers to the Mountain, having raced here just last November in Trans Am.

Cleary meanwhile is fresh from yet another Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Championship appearance over the weekend in New Zealand, where he kept his consistent run of results alive to finish 11th overall.

The rookies had their first taste of their 2024 machinery earlier this month with back-to-back test days at Winton.

They jump straight into the action at Mount Panorama with the first Super2 practice slated for 9:00am AEDT Friday.

“To have the support from Bowser Bean Cafe for my debut in Super2 is amazing. I cannot thank them enough for coming on board.

“The car looks terrific. The BJR guys have not only produced a great looking race car, I know they’ve been hard at work preparing for this weekend. Having the back-to-back test days was very useful for the whole squad, so we’re really set up to head into the first round on the front foot.”

“Being able to reveal the livery is the last piece of the puzzle before I get in the car this weekend, so I’m pretty excited by it all.

“It looks like a fast race car and I’m ready to head out on to the Mountain this weekend. I’ve had a whirlwind couple of months with racing in NZ and testing here in Australia but I’ve been looking forward to coming back to Bathurst the whole time.

“Can’t wait to get this season underway!”
